Matt Sloan | President

In 1992, Matt Sloan was part of the team that created the visionary master plan for Daniel Island in Charleston, SC. Formerly a project manager representing the Guggenheim family who previously owned the island, he went on to maintain overall responsibility for development, marketing and sales activities within the community as it developed. In addition to Daniel Island, he is responsible for management and operations of the developing community of Carnes Crossroads in Goose Creek, SC, and the Cainhoy Plantation property, on which the initial Point Hope community is being developed.
A member of the Urban Land Institute, he earned a Master’s degree at Columbia University School of Architecture and a B.S. in science and engineering at State University of New York at Buffalo. Extremely active in community service, Sloan’s past and current non-profit board service includes the YMCA of Greater Charleston, Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce, Lowcountry Housing Trust, Porter Gaud School, Junior Achievement, Daniel Island Community Fund, Charleston Regional Development Alliance, Roper Saint Francis Foundation and Tri-County Cradle to Career Collaborative.

Bill McKenzie | VP, Development

Bill McKenzie is responsible for setting the strategic direction for all development projects, from concept to completion. In this role, he directs two staff members and a team of contracted planners, designers and engineers who carry out development activities for each community. He also oversees contractual relationships with the independent home builders who build in each community. Prior to his current position, McKenzie oversaw development at several other large master planned communities in the Charleston region. In his role as Vice President of Wild Dunes Development Corporation, he oversaw all aspects of design and development for the resort’s real estate and hospitality divisions. He also played a role in the start-up of the Rivertowne and Dunes West communities in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
McKenzie is an active member of many professional and non-profit organizations including the National Homebuilders Association, Trident Chamber of Commerce Developer’s Council, Porter Gaud Fathers’ Association, Charleston Community Sailing, the Agricultural Society of South Carolina, St. Andrews Society of Charleston, Charleston County Clemson Club and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. When he’s not working or volunteering his time, you’ll find him on a sailboat or paddleboard, enjoying the Lowcountry’s waterways.

Carolyn Lancaster | VP, Marketing

Carolyn Lancaster is responsible for the development and implementation of all branding and marketing strategies for the company’s clients. She directs a team of project management staff and contractor specialists to implement positioning and branding initiatives as well as national and local advertising, digital marketing and strategies, creative design, public relations, research and relationship marketing opportunities. Lancaster, who has led the marketing programs for Daniel Island and its affiliates since 1999, previously served as Director of Marketing for the master developer of Kiawah Island, where she was responsible for building an in-house agency and helping the resort community achieve acclaim on a worldwide stage. She has more than 30 years experience in resort, real estate and master planned community marketing. Lancaster serves on the Architectural Review Board for Daniel Island and Carnes Crossroads and is a member of the American Marketing Association. In her leisure time, she is an enthusiastic horseman, gardener and paddleboarder.

Amy Moyer | Chief Financial Officer

Amy Moyer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning and management for three communities and 28 affiliate companies. Under her direction, financial accounting and reporting, budgeting, cash flow analysis, investment strategies, tax reporting, cash and debt management, human resources management and risk management activities are conducted for the company’s clients, projects and subsidiaries. A member of the senior management team since 1999, her professional experience includes more than 20 years experience directly in real estate development. Previously, she worked for PriceWaterhouse and was Director of Finance for Roper Health Systems. She is currently an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, SC Association of CPAs, Charleston CFO Council and CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women). She also serves on the Board of Junior Achievement of Coastal South Carolina and is an active HALOS volunteer.
